A Call for Prayer

President Mouw comments on the Aurora, Colorado shootings :: 07/20/12

We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater just after midnight Friday, July 20.  According to most recent information, 12 people have died and 59 have suffered injuries.   

I invite us all to join together in prayer for the many family members, friends, neighbors, and Colorado communities that have been devastated by this senseless eruption of violence.

We may never fully understand what causes such tragedies to occur, but we know that God is with us even in these dark hours.

I pray that all of us who are suffering from loss--and especially the loved ones most closely impacted by this heartbreaking event--will find God's comfort and help now and in the days to come.
