Fuller Seminary President Richard Mouw and Korean faculty
members welcomed a delegation of ten leaders from Paju, South Korea, at the
University Club of Pasadena on December 4.
The Paju delegates were here to visit the City of Pasadena,
which has been a sister city since 2009.
Professors Jin Hwang and Hak Joon Lee from the School of
Theology; Sung Kim from the School of Psychology; and Tim Park from the School
of Intercultural Studies attended the luncheon with Dr. Mouw for the Paju
delegates and Pasadena officials.
The Paju guests, who included Mayor of Paju In Jae Lee,
brought gifts and expressed their fondness for the school. After lunch, the
guests were treated to a tour of Fuller’s Pasadena campus. The delegates were
impressed by the David Allan Hubbard library and its collection of Asian works.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Korean guests extended an
invitation for Dr. Mouw to visit Paju. The mayor expressed his hope to continue
building a relationship with Fuller Seminary.
The guests’ visit to Pasadena also included a
tour of the Pacific Asia Museum and the California Institute of Technology.
