Fuller alum and social justice advocate, Rachel Goble, is featured in this article regarding her nonprofit foundation, The SOLD Project, which helps young girls in Thailand escape sex trafficking.  Along with transforming the lives of dozens of young girls, the article mentions the nonprofit has provided scholarships for 120 young students so they can stay in school, increasing their chances of escaping a life of prostitution.

Prior to her current pursuits, the author makes specific mention of Goble’s experience at Fuller, where she was able to “design a program that would give her the freedom to develop her own interests” in the cross-cultural studies program.

“Her graduate course work at Fuller sparked an investigation into children at risk, which led Goble to visit India and South Africa to research her capstone project,” it said.

Ultimately for Goble, she realized that a key factor in ending sex trafficking is through prevention, which starts with education.
