Description

The Executive Director of Admissions is responsible for the development, implementation and assessment of comprehensive admissions strategies, policies, and procedures to meet Fuller's enrollment goals. This position will provide strategic leadership to create and direct a cohesive and holistic admissions process using effective data management systems. The Executive Director of Admissions is an executive position reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and serves on the Provost's Council.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all aspects of the admissions process for all programs at Fuller, including managing the admissions team and communicating effectively with the Vice President of Communications & Marketing, as well as the Provost
  • Recruit students to all programs at Fuller's three schools and eight campuses
  • Create and implement a purpose statement and annual goals for the admission functions of Fuller to achieve enrollment goals and budget expectations. This includes aligning all admission employees to the overall established goals and expected outcomes
  • Manage, motivate, train and coach Admissions staff to achieve the objectives of the seminary's strategic enrollment management plan. This includes hiring, training, and evaluating performance
  • Strategically oversee development, implementation and assessment of recruitment, communication, and customer service plans for the admissions office of each location.
  • Develop systems to track, monitor and respond to all enrollment trends and inquiry generation to student matriculation data for strategic planning. Monitor data carefully each week. Prepare monthly reports for review and response. Communicate information in a timely, efficient and accurate manner to the vice president of marketing and executive council leadership
  • Work with the Information Technology department to develop the systems and data collections processes needed to continuously identify and track inquiry generation sources and other measures for recruiting success. Develop audience and inquiry analyses for each of Fuller's schools and key feeder programs. Establish prospective student profiles as needed for marketing purposes
  • Identify key market segments for potential students that will provide Fuller the greatest return on investment for its recruitment efforts
  • Collaborate with Student Financial Services team to develop and implement strategies designed to maximize net revenue across all incoming student groups
  • Collaborate with marketing team and faculty program directors and deans to develop compelling content for recruitment, prospective student events, overall communications, websites, print publications, advertising, social media, telemarketing, campus tours, etc.
  • Oversee admission recruitment budget at all campuses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • Degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred
  • 7-10 years experience as an admissions director or associate director
  • Work experience at another Christian institution of higher education preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of self-initiative. Highly motivated with a competitive drive to achieve results
  • High level of strategic planning in relation to data reporting, marketing and demographic trends and budget analysis. Aware of standard guidelines and practices in higher education and seminary schools
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with a wide variety of people
  • Strong customer service orientation and understanding of needs of all incoming students
  • Ability and willingness to travel on occasional or regular basis
  • Able to present and communicate effectively and professionally in formal and extemporaneous settings. Able to serve as an influential and persuasive representative and outstanding brand ambassador for Fuller
  • Excellent English written and communications skills
  • Trustworthy and credible
  • Able to create an environment of trust and respect

Must be willing to sign Fuller’s Statement of Faith. All teaching and management positions are restricted to persons who will affirm in writing the Statement of Faith of Fuller Theological Seminary
