The class will be taught by the professor in a designated location that is not on a main campus, and the class may involve international travel. Immersion classes are designed to challenge students to draw from the cultural surroundings of the course location as well as course lectures for a uniquely comprehensive educational experience. Immersion classes typically follow an intensive format.

Individualized Distance Learning (IDL) Class
Audio lectures will be provided, along with supplementary materials. Students will study individually at their own pace within the ten-week quarter.
The class will be taught by the professor in Moodle starting the first week of the quarter with weekly interactive assignments. The class will then meet as an intensive on a campus later in the quarter and will continue in Moodle for the duration of the term.*
Hybrid Plus ("Hybrid+") Classes
Two hybrid classes are scheduled together so that the intensive part (required for hybrids) is held on the same campus in the same week. These classes will be scheduled on a regular rotation with the same pairing of classes. There are a total of six Hybrid+ classes.
*Only one 1-week intensive, 2-week intensive, or hybrid intensive portion may be taken during any 1-week or 2-week period.
