Camilo González, in addition to holding the position of Ecclesiastical Instructor in American Baptist Theological Studies as of September 2012, is ordained in the American Baptist Church and serves as Senior Pastor of Chevy Chase Baptist Church, Glendale, and Executive Director of the American Baptist Theological Center, Pasadena.
Rev. González is a candidate for his PhD in Bible and Theology, majoring in New Testament, at Claremont School of Theology. His research focuses on Johannine Christianity and the development of the Nicene Creed. González has taught biblical languages and New Testament courses at Fuller since 1990, usually for students in the Hispanic Center (Centro Latino), as well as teaching at San Francisco Theological Seminary; Haggard School of Theology, Azusa Pacific University; Seminario Bautista, Asunción, Paraguay; and Instituto Bíblico Asunción, Paraguay.
González is a member of the Association for Hispanic Theological Education (AETH) and formerly served as Director of Theological Education for the Hispanic American Baptist Convention of Southern California, President of the Hispanic Southern California American Baptist Convention, and with Baptist ministerial organizations in Paraguay.
