Non-Degree Options in the School of Theology and School of Intercultural Studies

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

    LIMITED ENROLLMENT STUDENT      

    Limited Enrollment status is designed for students who are interested in taking up to six (6) graduate level classes without declaring a degree, certificate or emphasis.       

    The following are requirements for completing the application process.      

    • All applicants     
      • Completed and signed Application for Admission, including: 
        • Religious Autobiography, parts A and B     
        • A $25 nonrefundable application fee 
         
      • Official transcript showing a bachelor's degree earned from an accredited institution, with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 or above. If you do not currently hold an accredited bachelor's or master's degree or will not receive an accredited bachelor's or master's degree before the desired term of entry, you may still be eligible to apply to a certificate program.       •   A pastoral or denominational leader reference     
         
      •   If English is not your native language or your medium of instruction for all secondary and post-secondary education is not English, please see the English Language Requirements page.       
       
    • International applicants     

      • If you are a Permanent Resident of the United States, you must submit a copy of your Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) to the Office of Admissions. No Declaration of Financial Support is required. 

         
      • If you are not a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, you must apply 3-6 months prior to beginning on-campus coursework (this will give you sufficient time to complete the admissions process and immigration requirements). You must verify your immigration status with the International Services Office. Those seeking a F-1 or J-1 visa from Fuller must submit a satisfactory Declaration of Financial Support prior to beginning residential coursework.     You cannot apply to the Certificate in Recovery Ministry or as a Limited Enrollment Student if you are seeking a Student Visa from Fuller.      

         

    VISITING STUDENT   

    Visiting Student status is designed for graduate students who are currently enrolled in good standing at another graduate institution, but want to have transcript evidence of course work done at Fuller for transfer to the institution of primary enrollment.      

    The following are requirements for completing the application process.      

    • All applicants     

      • Completed and signed Application for Admission, including:   
        • Religious Autobiography, parts A and B     
        • A $25 nonrefundable application fee 

           
         
      • An official Letter of Good Standing from your primary institution stating the following:
        • Degree program in which you are currently enrolled  
        • Statement of good standing     
        • Statement that an official bachelor's transcript is on file   
        • Statement that credit will be transferred   

      To be considered official, the Letter of Good Standing must arrive to the Office of Admissions in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution. Photocopies, scanned copies, faxes, and printouts from student information websites will not be accepted as official.   
       
       

      • International applicants

      AUDIT STUDENT    

      Audit status is designed for students who desire to take a course at the graduate level without receiving credit or transcript evidence.

        *New student orientation for Pasadena campus students beginning studies in the Summer will be held at the same time as Fall Quarter orientation.
         

        Notification:
        Applicants are notified of admission decisions, in most cases, around four weeks following the completion of an application file. Some programs require that a matriculation fee be paid within 30 days of notification of acceptance. The matriculation fee is 100% refundable and will be applied toward the first quarter's tuition.
