Seminary is much more than just studying Scripture and theology. The Asian American Initiative (AAI) offers a number of events and small groups to socially enhance and spiritually deepen your experience at Fuller.
AAI hosts three social events for Fuller's Asian American community:
1. Welcoming Banquet At the beginning of the school year, we connect with our friends over a great meal, dedicating our academic year to God.2. Christmas Social After Fall quarter is done, we unwind and enjoy the Christmas season with food and fun, often with other minority groups on campus.3. BBQ @ Ken's At the end of the year, we celebrate God's faithfulness and the upcoming graduation with a BBQ dinner at Executive Director Ken Fong's home.
Spiritual Formation Groups (SFGs) are small groups of 4 to 7 members meeting weekly throughout a quarter for 90 minutes each session. The goal of these groups is the integration of spirituality, relationships, academics, and ministry.
These are some of their activities:
The MDiv field education requirement includes Theological Reflection Groups (TRGs). These groups are case-study driven discussion groups to integrate spirituality, leadership, and academics. AAI offers a contextualized TRG experience for those who are serving in Asian American contexts.
