The purpose of the Cohort Coordinator: DMiss/MAGL is to assist Doctor of Missiology (DMiss) and Master of Arts in Global Leadership (MAGL) students and faculty with all aspects of their seminars, and overall program. Serving as our Pasadena campus resource and referral person, the coordinator will maintain important channels of communication among the administration, faculty and students, while contributing to the overall growth and development of the DMiss and MAGL programs. The Coordinator will be responsible for seminar preparation and administration, along with performing general administrative duties in the functioning of both programs, including Admissions. This person will be a resource for DMiss faculty in online course shells, providing basic training and assistance. The Coordinator must have competent administrative skills, display an attitude of servant leadership, and be comfortable with cross-cultural communication with the office context, as well as by telephone and e-mail.

The Office Assistant is responsible for providing data entry and general office support for the Facilities Department. They shall input campus and housing work requests that are initiated in person, by telephone and by electronic means. They shall interact with a diverse population of students, staff and vendors. They shall be assigned a variety of standard clerical and organizational tasks within the office such as answering phones and filing, and provide assistance and back up to the office staff. The Office Assistant may be assigned special projects that support the essential functions of the department such as creating or updating manuals, databases or web site pages. The Office Assistant will interact with students, staff and vendors on a daily basis. They will also help in “work request” follow up. Must be proficient in both Microsoft Word and Excel.

Through academic counsel, personal support and sharing of information, coordinators seek to enable students to plan, evaluate, and accomplish their personal, spiritual, academic, and professional goals in regard to their calling and ministry contexts. Serving as a resource and referral person, coordinators also maintain important channels of communication among the administration, faculty, and students, while contributing to the overall growth and development of the MAGL program. Coordinators are responsible for seminar preparation and administrative duties, as well as working with the professors in the development of their online courses in the learning management system (LMS). This person must have competent administrative, editing, and analytical skills, display an attitude of servant leadership and teamwork, and be comfortable with cross-cultural communication within the office context, as well as by telephone and e-mail.

The Assistant to the Faculty and the Dean’s Office in the School of Theology is based at Payton Hall and provides administrative support to assigned SOT faculty (9-12; located in Payton and in other buildings) and to the SOT Dean’s Office. This part-time position supports faculty in their course instruction and committee responsibilities as well as serving as a communication liaison between faculty and students, campus departments, and off-campus contacts. The position is responsible to maintain and coordinate information concerning policies and procedures for faculty in course support such as copyright permissions, Moodle, ATC procedures, etc. This position assists in the training of faculty assistants. The Assistant to the Faculty and the Dean’s Office provides staff support for major faculty committees and special projects and events for the Dean’s Office. The position serves as backup to the Dean’s Office coordinator as needed and to other faculty assistants.
