roles of abuse, trauma, violence, substance abuse, poverty, undiagnosed and
untreated mental illness play in societal violence, and what we all can do to
help break these cycles to end the crisis.

Discussion will focus on what roles of mental illness play
in violence in TV, movies, video games, language, culture, the media, and
government, including “perpetual war,” coupled with the American culture of gun
ownership and the availability of guns, play in repeating cycles of violence in
our society).

Continuing Education Credit
A total of 2.5 hours of Continuing Education credit will be offered for
mental health professionals at all levels of training at no cost. The School of
Psychology (SOP) at Fuller Theological Seminary is approved by the American
Psychological Association and the Board of Behavioral Sciences to offer
continuing education for psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and
social workers. Fuller Theological Seminary SOP maintains responsibility for
