Biographical Information:

Donald Hagner joined the faculty of Fuller in 1976 and is the George Eldon Ladd Professor Emeritus of New Testament in the School of Theology. His courses have included New Testament: Gospels, Acts to Revelation, Exegetical Method and Practice, selected book studies (Greek text), and selected subjects in New Testament Theology. Hagner's writings include a commentary on the Epistle to the Hebrews (New International Biblical Commentary), The Jewish Reclamation of Jesus, the Word Biblical Commentary on Matthew (2 vols.), and New Testament Exegesis and Research: A Guide for Seminarians. He has also had many articles and book reviews published. He is the coeditor of the New International Greek Testament Commentary. He has been the recipient of the Weyerhauser Award for Excellence at Fuller, and the Golden Award from the Christian Booksellers for the Best Commentary of 1995. Hagner is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Although he has now retired from full-time service, Hagner continues mentoring PhD students and teaching occasional courses in his senior faculty role.
