Biographical Information:
Richard Hunt is senior professor of psychology. He has published and presented in the areas of marriage preparation, education, enrichment, and assessment and in clergy assessment and support.
Among recent books, he is first author of
Marriage Enrichment: Preparation, Mentoring, and Outreach (1998) with L. Hof and R. DeMaria. An ordained United Methodist minister, he has been first author of five editions of the
Candidacy Guidebook (fifth edition, 1996), used by all candidates seeking entry into the United Methodist ministry, and for the Theological School Inventory. He and his wife, Joan, co-authored the
Caring Couples Network Handbook (1996) and are currently revising
Growing Love in Christian Marriage, the denomination's official marriage manual. He is a licensed psychologist and member of the American Psychological Association, and retired member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
