OD757: Organic Leadership Development

Quick Overview:  

This practical seminar focuses on how God shapes and develops leaders for an unique and ultimate contribution. Students learn how God shapes leaders through life experiences and developmental transitions, gaining: (1) understanding essentials of the Organic Leadership Development paradigm, (2) focused understanding of his or her own developmental stage and potential transitions, and (3) insight into how to recognize and facilitate the organic growth of leaders. Students will learn how to facilitative discovery processes that surface and clarifies the calling and contribution of leaders, thereby increasing the leadership potential within a ministry context. Learning to recognize and mentor leaders organically, helps steward and develop leaders according to God’s unique shaping, as opposed to ministry and its demands.

Course Project:   

All students will do a project that reflects on their mentoring and coaching experience using the Organic Leadership Development model.
