In the face of growing demographic shifts, Christian leaders must be trained to be socially and culturally relevant. This course equips students to minister effectively in cross-cultural and multiethnic settings, focusing on the cross-cultural minister, communication, preaching, teaching, conflict resolution and contextualization issues. Based on clear biblical and sociological principles, we will identify the skills necessary for multicultural ministry to flourish and explore how to effectively meet the complex needs of a diverse, multicultural audience. 

Course Project:   

Students will be able to chose from one of two options. Either they can develop a strategy for ministering cross-culturally in their community via their church or conduct an interview with someone involved in a reconciliation ministry who has a different background than their own and thinks differently about faith and/or politics.
