Final Projects

Welcome to the world of Final Projects! You are in for an enriching and challenging journey. To help guide you through the final project “terrain,” we suggest you make this page your primary point of reference.

When to Begin

The Doctor of Ministry office highly recommends that you start your Final Project at least two (2) years before the quarter you wish to graduate. Students are allowed to formally begin the Final Project process once the following items have been completed:

1.    All admission requirements have been satisfactorily met, such as biblical language requirements, special projects, and changes from probation or special status to regular status in the program; and,
2.    At least 24 units of coursework have been completed and grades for this coursework have been posted to the student's transcript.

Important Final Project Changes

Beginning in Fall 2009, the Doctor of Ministry program is implementing four major changes that we believe will improve your experience of the final project phase. They involve: 1) a two-unit online final project course; 2) a change in the editing process; 3) a revised style and format guide; and, 4) a final project fee related to reduction of editing costs.
To see what these changes mean for you personally as you anticipate the completion of your program, please click on the link below that best describes you and your current status in our program.

•    Cohort students
•    Students whose Final Project Proposals were approved in 2008 and earlier
•    Students whose Final Project Proposals were approved in January or April 2009
•    Students whose Final Project Proposals were approved in October 2009
•    Students who do not have an approved final project proposal

The Final Project Path

Due to the significant changes in the Final project process and requirements, the Path is currently under reconstruction. Please contact our Final Projects Coordinator, James Love at dmin-fpcoord@fuller.edu  if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Updated Resource!

The updated  DMin Style and Format Guide is now available! You will note that it contains links within the guide that will connect you directly to samples and templates, which you can use in developing your final project. If you have not started your final project, you will use this updated guide. If you have already started on your project, you may still choose to use the previous DMin Style Guide. Contact the final projects coordinator at dmin-fpcoord@fuller.edu , if you need access to the old guide or have questions.
