Certificate in Youth Ministry
24 units
The Certificate in Youth Ministry provides a
convenient way for youth ministers or volunteers in church and parachurch
organizations to receive solid biblical and theological training along with
practical ministry training without requiring a commitment to a degree program.
With a focus on training leaders for relational ministry, courses in this unique
certificate program offer an overview of the youth ministry task, develop an
understanding of family systems and adolescent development, and provide training
in outreach and evangelism to adolescents, as well as in leadership and team
development.
The Introduction to Youth Ministry Course
coincides with the Youth Specialties' National Youth Workers Convention each
fall. The other three courses may be taken at the seminary's Institute of Youth
Ministry located at Fuller Seminary in Colorado or at other Fuller extension
sites in Washington, Northern California, Southern California, and Arizona, or
at the Seminary's Pasadena campus. Fuller also offers the option of taking New
Testament 1: Gospels and Youth Outreach and Evangelism through the Distance
Learning program in the convenience of one's home or office. For more
information on online or distance learning options, click here. Since
certificate courses may be applied to master's level degree programs, students
can utilize their time as certificate students to explore the possibility of
further education.
