Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FASAP) Policy
To
be eligible for seminary and federal financial aid, you must meet the
Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (FASAP).
Measurements are taken once each quarter. Federal regulations require
the Office of Financial Aid to measure your academic progress each
quarter in two ways:
- Cumulative GPA.
All students who have attempted more than 16 units must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or better.
- Class Completion Rate
The
percentage of classes you have successfully completed at Fuller
Seminary is calculated. Federal regulations require the seminary to use
your complete enrollment history at Fuller, including courses from
prior degree programs, in the calculation. The formula used is:
Earned Units / (Attempted Units - Excluded Units) = Percentage of successfully completed units.
- Earned Units are the units granted for a course at the time of the calculation.
- Attempted Units are all units not officially dropped.
- Excluded Units include the following:
- In Process (IP) grades
- Hold (H) grades
- Withdrawal (W) grades
- All zero-unit (0) classes, such as ESL classes
- Transfer credits - only Fuller Seminary units are included in the calculation.
