Preparing leaders, passionate for Christ, to do effective frontline ministry in a broken world.
Your goal as a leader in Christ’s Church is to do more than run programs and workshops. Starting with the fact that God is at work all over the world, your task is to take part in the mission of God in your ministry setting. Going beyond the Great Commission, and going beyond works of social justice, your number one task is to participate in the ongoing ministry of Jesus in your sphere of influence. This requires you to give yourself wholly over to the will and mission of God, where your agenda becomes negotiable, and obedience and faithfulness to God become your new measuring rod for success.
To do this, you engage God through rigorous study and prayer. Your discipline of study and reflection, as you talk with others and with God, strengthens your ability to draw closer to God and to reach out to God’s people. At Fuller you will work in courses...
From the Old and New Testament to Preaching and Teaching
From Christian Spirituality to Systematic Theology
From Ethics to Evangelism
From Counseling to Church History
From Philosophy to Missions
From Practical Ministry to Biblical Languages
All of these help you to enjoy God and to be equipped for ministry that the Holy Spirit is calling and empowering you to do - effective frontline ministry to a broken world.
At Fuller Seminary Southwest, you will be challenged to keep an eye to the future of the Church, not just to the past. You will do this in ways that are biblically grounded and true to the historical roots of the Church, while developing a sense of spirituality that is grounded in God’s mission to the world, and relevant to the culture around you.
Here at Fuller Seminary Southwest, you will grow as a leader for ministry for the twenty-first century.
