Degrees and Certificates

Fuller Theological Seminary, with its main campus located in Pasadena, California has been approved to offer the following complete theology degrees at our newest regional campus, Fuller Texas. 

Degree Programs 

 Master of Divinity 

  •  Requires 36 courses 
  •  May be completed entirely at the regional campus 
  •  Prepares students for full-time, professional ministry 
  •  Students may transfer courses between programs, allowing for flexibility and exploration 
 This degree is a comprehensive graduate program covering a wide range of general and specialized subjects, designed to prepare students for full-time service in the church of Jesus Christ.

Master of Arts in Christian Leadership 

  • Requires 18 courses  
  • May be completed entirely at the regional campus  
  • Includes courses in biblical studies, church history, theology and leadership ministry  
This degree prepares men and women called to non-ordained leadership roles with a graduate theological education. It seeks to develop lay leaders both theologically and practically, providing an opportunity for those who are currently in service to enhance their ministry and leadership skills.

Master of Arts in Theology  

  • Requires 24 courses 
  • May be completed entirely at the regional campus  
  • Students can choose particular interest areas to emphasize like biblical studies, theology and arts, hispanic studies and many others 
  • Includes courses in biblical studies, church history or theology, practical theology 
  • No language requirement, though available   

This degree prepares students for leadership in a wide range of vocations by cultivating skills in the study and interpretation of Scripture. It enables students to fashion a systematic theological framework, and develop an understanding of the origin and growth of the Christian tradition in all its richness and diversity.   

Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry 

  •  Requires 24 courses 
  •  May be completed entirely at the regional campus 
  •  Includes courses in a wide variety of subject areas  

 This degree is designed for people who wish to develop a deeper biblical and theological understanding, spiritual formation, and cultural literacy for ministry in church, parachurch or nonprofit organizations, and other vocational settings. 

Certificate Programs 

Certificate of Christian Studies 

  • Requires 6 courses  
  • May be completed entirely at the regional campus or online   
  • Integrative essay at the end of the program  
  • Stand alone program or an entry point into a degree (courses easily transfer)
