Current Ministry Position: Professor of Leadership, Fuller Seminary


I founded the leadership concentration in Fuller’s School of Intercultural Studies, and have developed and taught numerous leadership courses over the past 29 years.


Life in Ministry:

I spent 6 years as a lay person doing home Bible studies in a local church, and served in a local church as Assistant Pastor for a year before joining WorldTeam as a missionary.  I spent 11 years with WorldTeam, including field experience in Jamaica and working out of the home office in a traveling/teaching/leadership development position. I then came to Fuller in the late 1970s to pursue further academic training and have taught here for 29 Years.

Family:  My wife, Marilyn Dodge Clinton, and I have four adult children: Cathryn (50), Richard (48), Christine (46), Jeffrey (44). 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.


Other Information: In my spare time, I enjoy playing war-themed board games, such as Victory in the Pacific and War at Sea.  I also enjoy reading fiction, and am a fan of science fiction, detective stories, and thrillers.
