Denominational Offices at Fuller


American Baptist
Since 1988, the American Baptist Theological Center (ABTC) was established to provide information, nurture and support for students of the American Baptist churches in the following:

  • financial aid
  • internships
  • denominational networking
  • ordination
  • and annual ABC student retreats


Presbyterian Church (USA)
For over 20 years, the Office of Presbyterian Ministries (OPM) serves students, presbyteries and churches throughout the denomination. Presently there are 300+ PCUSA students at Fuller and at our regional centers. OPM provides:

  • programs of instruction and experience to prepare ministers
  • courses on Presbyterian history, creeds, polity and reformed worship
  • community and spiritual growth opportunities
  • counsel and assistance on denominational ordination, internships, ordination exams, seeking a call
  • liaison service with churches and governing bodies
  • Chaplain and Spiritual Director


Reformed Church in America
Since 1985, the Reformed Church in America (RCA) has served students through the Theological Education Agency, now known as the Ministerial Formation Coordinating Agency (MFCA).  The MFCA director supervises and counsels all ministerial candidates in:

  • preparation for ordination
  • locations for internships
  • instruction in RCA polity, history, confessional statements, missions and worship.

United Methodist/Wesleyan
United Methodist students come together in community through regularly scheduled worship and gatherings such as fellowship dinners.  The UM Office  provides:

  • ordination courses
  • ordination interview preparation sessions
  • guidance and support
