Purpose
To provide a community for students who associate with the denomination you represent and provide information and advice about the denomination.
Qualifications to be a Liaison
Liaisons may include students, faculty, staff, local ministers, retired pastors or missionaries, or others willing to serve the Fuller community. Each liaison will need to:
- Identify with a particular denomination represented as a local church member and regular attendee, credentialed minister, or aspiring credentialed minister.
- Possess knowledge of the denomination’s beliefs, doctrines, practices, polity, and ordination requirements.
- Complete the Denomination Liaison Bio form
- Obtain a letter of endorsement and/or recommendation from a recognized leader in your denomination and submit it together with the liaison bio form.
- Be willing to serve Fuller students and the Fuller community.
Responsibilities
Each liaison chooses one’s own level of commitment: answering questions, leading weekly denominational chapels, quarterly events, seasonal retreats or more.
- Be available. Offer denominational information, guidance and advice to students and others or answer questions regarding your denomination.
- Host meetings or events. Be active in denominational chapels, or initiate and coordinate lunches, retreats and socials.
- Communicate with students. Introduce yourself to the Fuller community, keep students informed about chapels, VIPs, related events.
- Welcome Denominational Visitors. Not only welcome denominational leaders that visit Fuller but also invite students to fellowship with them.
- Be creative!
- Communicate with ODR. Keep the line of communication open with ODR. ODR can help on logistics or provide resources and information.
