Edinburgh 2010 Centenary Panel Discussion
It is not uncommon to hear that the Edinburgh Conference of 1910 was a defining meeting in the history of the modern Western missionary movement. As the centenary of this event approaches, it is time to reflect on its significance in light of the dramatic shifts in global Christianity over the last one hundred years. The growth of the church in Africa, Asia, and Latin America necessitates a fresh look at Edinburgh’s place in the history of mission, an evaluation of the major changes in the global church, as well as a critical assessment of the pressing issues facing the mission of the church in the twenty-first century.
Please join Dr. Jehu Hanciles, Dr. Veli-Matti Karkkainen, Dr. Chandra Mallampalli, and Dr. Juan Martinez for an Edinburgh 2010 Centenary Panel Discussion on Tuesday, April 6, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Payton 101.
