Academic Scheduling Coordinator

The Academic Scheduling Coordinator handles all Academic Program functions related to course scheduling, such as participating in the academic scheduling process, utilizing and enhancing usage of technology for schedule data collection, data entry, schedule changes, and negotiating classroom changes. Participates in curriculum planning, including analysis of course assessment materials and making curricular recommendations. Manages new ECD approvals for SIS. Also provides administrative support for the Director of Academic Planning in areas of the scheduling, budget, office administration, and special projects as needed.

Coordinator for Crosscultural Placement

The primary purpose of the Coordinator for Crosscultural Placement is to assist School of Intercultural Studies (SIS) students in preparing for crosscultural ministry. Opportunities for students include participation in the SIS Cohort Program for purposes of spiritual formation and vocational discernment, being placed in a relevant crosscultural practicum, and eventually finding a ministry placement upon graduation. This position requires regular communication with SIS students, with various committees within SIS, and with a substantial number of church, parachurch, mission and nonprofit organizations. Job responsibilities include coordinating the following programs: Crosscultural Practicum, SIS Cohort Program, Great Commission Program, and World Vision Apprenticeship. This position is funded through a grant; current funding is available through June 2011.

This position combines a variety of administrative duties involved in serving as Practicum Liaison for Fuller’s Clinical Psychology Program and Marriage and Family Therapy Program. The position functions as a liaison between the Fuller training programs and the many practicum sites throughout the area, checking in regularly with sites and students and problem-solving where needed. Trust, diplomacy, confidentiality, accuracy, and pursuit of excellence are crucial; knowledge of Fuller’s training programs and sites – and their policies and procedures – is essential. This position reports to the Directors of Clinical Training for the Clinical Program and for the MFT program.

Writing Center Assistant Editor

The Writing Center helps seminary students improve their writing skills so that their papers meet faculty expectations in content, form, and expression for their respective school and degree program at Fuller. The Editor and Assistant Editors of the Writing Center meet with students in group writing labs, one-on-one to tutor students in writing skills, or serve as grammar editors.
