May 16, 2008 Index theologicus (IxTheo): a major index to periodical literature and to articles published in essay collections, with subject headings in both German and English.  From the Universitätsbibliothek Tübingen.  Captures permanently what appears initially in ZID Theologie, below.

ZID (Zeitschrifteninhaltsdienst) Theologie: tables of contents to recent journal issues and essay collections from around the world, with article-level subject headings in both German and English.  Records more than three months old are incorporated into the database Index theologicus, above.

The text of the newspapers is fully searchable, and search terms can be limited to a particular state, a specific newspaper, and year or years and even months of publication. It includes the Moffet Collection of 19th century Korean photographs, Karl Barth Society Newsletter (1990-2005), Princeton Theological Review (1825-1929), Princeton Seminary Bulletin (1907-2007), and Studies in Reformed Theology and History (1993-2005).

March 17, 2008  http://www.library.yale.edu/div/Nanking/about.html  On December 13, 1937 the Japanese Imperial Army invaded Nanking. The ensuing six weeks became known to history as the Nanking Massacre. This web site provides access to first hand accounts and photographs from Westerners who remained in Nanking after the Japanese invasion. These resources do not provide a comprehensive understanding of what occurred in Nanjing during 1937-1938, but the observations made by these men and women provide an important historical lens to complement additional research.

November 29, 2007  http://www.ulib.org  Universal Digital Library offers 1.5 million books. It's scope is more global than Google books, offering 900,000 books in Chinese, and tens of thousands of books in Arabic, Persian, and Indian languages. Also it aims to include out-of-print books which are still under copyright by getting permission for these "orphans;" over 900,000 of the books were published after 1920.

November 16, 2007  http://www.barna.org/  The Barna Group provides statistics and research services for U.S. Christian ministries. The weekly Barna Update is an intriguing source for current trends.

November 7, 2007  http://www.calvin.edu/worship/az_index.php  Calvin Institute of Christian Worship web site include hundreds of full text articles, worship services, and program ideas. It aims to promote the scholarly study of the theology, history, and practice of Christian worship and the renewal of worship in worshiping communities.

November 1, 2007  http://www.ntgateway.com/  The New Testament Gateway is a web directory of internet resources.  Browse or search annotated links on everything from the Greek New Testament to Jesus in Film.  It is maintained by Dr. Mark Goodacre of Duke University.

October 22, 2007  http://library.usc.edu/uhtbin/catstat.pl/impa  Internet Mission Photography Archive offers historical images from Protestant and Catholic missionary collections in Britain, Norway, Germany, and the United States. The photographs, which range in time from the middle of the nineteenth to the middle of the twentieth century, offer a visual record of missionary activities and experiences in Africa, China, Madagascar, India, Papua-New Guinea, and the Caribbean.

June 19, 2007  http://www.virtualreligion.net/iho/ Into His Own:  Perspective on the World of Jesus is designed as a tool for the historical study of Christian scriptures by exploring the first century Jewish tradition.  The bulk of the passages are excerpts from works written by Jewish authors, especially those composed after the Hebrew scriptures.  There are also selections from non-Jewish sources.

Jan. 24, 2007 - http://www.ixtheo.de/  Index Theologicus provides citations for European theological periodicals.  Developed by the Universitätsbibliothek Tübingen, it contains citations from over 600 periodical titles, plus festschrift and congresses. Index Theologicus compliments the ATLA Religion Database, adding more European titles.

http://resources.library.yale.edu/dissertations/  compiled Yale Divinity School Library, this citation database includes missions-related Th.D., Ph.D., D.Min. and D.Miss. English-language dissertations focusing on missions and Christianity outside the "West."  It's core began with the print bibliographies published in the July 1983, July 1993, and July 2003 issues of the International Bulletin of Missionary Research.  It is much expanded for the online version.

Textweek  provides links for helping preachers prepare sermons. It is created by Jenee Woodard. It includes links to other sermons, online commentaries and articles, art work, related films, children's resources, prayers and other liturgy suggestions, etc. The art work section is helpful for finding images to illustrate PowerPoint presentations. Though the site is primarily organized by the common lectionary; also there is a scripture index and seasonal topics.

This site includes over 350 data files of social science research surveys about religion, primarily from the U.S. It includes poll information about denominations, church attendance, religious beliefs, political opinions, etc. The data can be downloaded and used in various combinations.
