Concerns Introduction
Printing is available from any workstation in the library or
your notebook computer. All stations, and photocopiers, use the same copy
card system. Printing is similar to your home or office computer; just be
sure to select "Pay Printer" as the printer you want to print to. Below
are detailed instructions. Printing of your own papers, email, etc. must
be done from workstations in the Computer Lab. Printing from the
workstations in the Weyerhaeuser Reference Room is primarily for research, such
as database citations and online articles.
How does it work?
When you click the print button, the print job (your document to
be printed) is not sent directly to a printer but to our print server or
"release station".

Here, all documents are presented in a list on the screen of the
release station. All you need to do is to chose your document and click print at
the bottom of the screen. You will be invited to pay for the prints and after
that the document will print.
Click here for step by step instructions.
How much?
The price is 10 cents per page when you pay with a printing card
available on the 1st floor across the circulation desk. The card is $1 and it
has a 50 cents balance on it. You can add value to your card at any release
station in the library as many times as you want. If you decide to pay with cash
(by inserting coins or $1 and $5 bills in the machine) the price will be 15
cents per page.
Printing from Laptops
In order to be able to print from your own laptop you will need
to add a printer driver and a little program (optional) that will present you
with a window pop-up where you can insert a print job description that makes it
easier to find your document on the release station screen and not to pay for
someone else's print.

The price when printing from laptops is the same with the price
when printing from our workstations.
Color Printing
Unfortunately at this time color printing is not available in
the computer lab. However we are open to suggestions. If you feel that it will
be a great benefit to you, please e-mail us. We will be interested in how many
color pages you think you will print monthly.
