Remote
Database Access switched to Portico user/password: Off Campus users
of Fuller's Databases will now use your Portico Username and Password.
The login system for remote access is called EZProxy. Please click
here for answers to Remote Access
Frequently Asked Questions.
Interlibrary
Loan switched to Portico user/password: Also the Fuller Interlibrary Loan
system (ILLiad) has switched from Campus Pipeline usernames/passwords to
Portico usernames/passwords. Unfortunately, this ILL change requires some
patrons to re-enter their contact information in the Interlibrary Loan
system. And the history of past Interlibrary Loans will be lost for
some patrons. The patrons affected are primarily faculty and staff, if
your Portico username was different from your former Campus Pipeline
username. We hope you enjoy the improvement of having fewer passwords
to remember; we regret the inconvenience caused to some. If you have
questions please contact the Interlibrary Loan
office.
eBook
dissertations: Fuller library has added over 5,500 full-text eBook
dissertations and over 1500 conference papers from the Theological Research Exchange
Network. The dissertations are from other seminaries and universities,
mostly D.Min. and masters level theses. The papers are mostly from the
American Society of Church History and the Evangelical Theological Society.
To find these, search the library catalog, limiting your search to eBooks;
search keyword Theological Research Exchange Network to see them all, or add other
topic keywords.

Hubbard
Library Construction Began
Construction on the David Allan Hubbard Library began in the summer of
2007. The building project will take approximately two years. A ceremonial
ground breaking was held on May 21, 2007. Some of the site preparation tasks
include rerouting underground electricity, and demolishing the structures
currently on the site.
The south entrance to campus will be closed during the project. Noise from the
construction will be intense at times. Construction work will take place mostly
between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; therefore, faculty, students, and staff may
want to adjust their working hours accordingly. The library will make every
effort to and accommodate research needs; however, there will be some planned
closures, and perhaps some closures with short notice due to safety concerns.
Named for past Fuller Theological Seminary president David Allan Hubbard, the
building will greatly enhance the ability of the library to serve students,
faculty and guests. It will allow us to more than double our collection of books
and other media, augment essential archives, and offer the study space and
technological capabilities the Fuller community desperately needs. Most
important, the Hubbard Library will respond to a changing world by documenting
the history and movement of evangelical thought, with an emphasis on the voices
of developing evangelical churches in the Two-Thirds World. The Hubbard Library
will incorporate a remodeled and redesigned McAlister Library.

360@Fuller
Multiple Database Search
360@Fuller Multiple Database Search is a new search interface that will
allow you to search multiple databases at once. You may find relevant
articles in unexpected databases; or you may find too many irrelevant hits,
and need to go to a specific database (like
ATLA for religious topics, or PsychInfo for psychological topics). Try
it out, and let us know how you like it; please send feedback to:
lib-systems@dept.fuller.edu
New
Interlibrary Loan system introduced Starting Friday evening, Oct.
5, 2007, the library switched to a new ILL system for students and
faculty. It's called ILLiad. When you want to request an
Interlibrary Loan, Databases like WorldCat and ATLA will direct you to the
ILLiad system. You'll logon with your Portico username and
password, and request the book or article. Here are some advantages:
with ILLiad you'll only need to enter your contact information once, not for
each request. There is an online tracking system, so you'll be able to
see when the other library has sent your book or article, and when it
arrives here for you to pick up. Some articles will be delivered to
your ILLiad page as a .pdf scanned document. And you'll get automatic
emails when an item is received or overdue.

Term 2007, course reserve books will be shelved by call number. Before you
request a book at the circulation desk, please look up the call number in the
online catalog under the reserve catalog tab. Students will no longer need to
know the instructor's name to request a book. Also, in the near future, look for
a computer by the circulation desk dedicated to looking up items which have been
placed on course reserve.
One

citation databases. Before, students had to use different pages from
"on campus" and "off campus." Now there is just one
databases page. If you are at an "off
campus" computer, you will still be asked to logon;
click here for details about remote access from
off campus.

internet down Sunday morning. Internet connectivity to the
campus will be temporarily unavailable Sunday morning, September 23, 2007,
between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. This may affect the online catalog,
databases, and library web pages.
Catalog
and Databases down Friday night, 8/31 The online catalog and
the databases will be down on Friday night, August 31st from 10:30 p.m.
until approximately 1:30 a.m. Fuller Information Technology Services

27-29, 2007 because of construction The demolition of the cement back
steps of the library is scheduled for August 27th-29th, 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Because of the intense noise, the library will be opening late, at 10:00
a.m. those three days. We anticipate the worst noise will be limited
to the hours above, but if the noise
becomes too intense at other times, Health Department and OSHA guidelines
will require us to close the library.
The Online Catalog is down Because of an
air conditioning problem, the Online Catalog for books, etc. is down, beginning
Wednesday afternoon, August 15, 2007. Building Services staff and Library

morning, August 6th, and the problem continues on Thursday, Aug. 9th. Library staff
and ITS staff are working to resolve the
problem. We know these databases are important, and that many Fuller
students and faculty frequently use them from off campus. We regret
