Also, if you don't need the article right away, you can get more articles and pay less by using Interlibrary Loan from your local public library.

Amazon Amazon.com offers articles as electronic documents.
Use the advanced search, and limit your search to Format: e-Books & Docs
Prices range from $3 to $20.
Ingenta Hundreds of articles are available from academic publishers, around $25 to $45.
Google Scholar While searching for articles, Google Scholar also provides some links to publishers, some of which supply articles.
CISTI CISTI is provides articles in the U.S. and Canada, mostly medical and scientific.
JSTOR JSTOR offers articles from some publishers to individuals for a fee.
Infotrieve Purchase articles in medical and life sciences areas, from $20-$50.  Electronic, fax, and mail delivery options.
FindArticles Search for and purchase articles from popular journals like Christian Century, around $15-$30.  Note: this link may be broken or slow.
