Announcing EndNote

To simplify and enhance your research process,  McAlister Library on behalf of Fuller Theological Seminary entered into a Site License Agreement with ISI Research Soft for an institution-wide license for the EndNote bibliographic software (PC and Macintosh platforms).

This agreement covers all registered students, faculty and staff of Fuller Theological Seminary including the extension sites for on-campus and home usage.   This is possible due to the financial support of the School of Theology (SOT), School of Psychology (SOP), School of Intercultural Studies (SIS) and the Horner Center for Life Long Learning (HCLL).

What is EndNote?

EndNote is a commercially available bibliographic management software that allows you to collect and organize citations, and to insert the citations into a word processing program in formatted bibliographic styles. EndNote can help you:

  • Search online bibliographic databases and library catalogs in order to retrieve references;
  • Store, manage, organize and format bibliographic references to be used in your research papers, dissertations or other publications; and
  • Automatically create and format citations and bibliographies (no more typing in the author, title, date, publisher, etc..) in the style of your choice (eg. APA, Turabian, etc.)

How do I get a copy of EndNote?

There will be different distribution centers around campus and at each extension site. Please print and sign the EndNote Use Agreement and exchange it for your copy of EndNote at the following distribution centers:

1.   For the School of Theology students, faculty members and staff: you can receive your EndNote copy directly in the Library at the Circulation Desk or at the Reference Desk.  If you are a CATS student you may receive your copy in the CATS office.

2.   For the School of Psychology students, faculty or staff: you may contact Marta Cenac, the SOP Research Manager to receive your EndNote CD.

3.    For the School of Intercultural Studies students, faculty or staff: you may contact Joan Kraryer in the Dean's Office to receive your EndNote CD.

4.    If you are an extension student, faculty or staff please contact your extension office to get a copy of EndNote.

To download the latest version of EndNote you can also visit the Fuller Library pages in Portico.

Aside from installation instructions, the EndNote CD (and the online version) also provides additional connection files, filters and styles that have been customized and programmed for use with our subscription databases and with our own online library catalog. For instructions on how to take advantage of these add-on files please refer to the specific file on the Research CD.

Training
