A Call to Prayer

The aim of this site is to be a resource for people doing the work of ministry and also to be a ministry itself. To accomplish this, there must be continued intercessory prayer. This is because the sovereign God ordained to work for our benefit as we pray. He did this so that our prayers, directed to him, would be the explanation for the blessings that consequently materialize.

For example, Peter was imprisoned by Herod, who intended to execute him as he had James, the brother of John. "But earnest prayer was made for him by the church" (Acts 12:5). In answer, an angel appeared to Peter and the chains on his hands miraculously fell off. The angel then led him past two guards without incident, and the prison's main gate "opened to them of its own accord" (v. 10). When Peter arrived at the house where an extended prayer meeting for him was being held, there was great joy and amazement as it finally dawned on the people how "the Lord had brought him out of prison" (v. 17). Thus the theology of prayer is well summed up by Ezekiel 36:37: "For this I will be called on by the house of Israel, that I may [then] do it."

You may register with us as an intercessor by telling us your resolve to pray in some regular manner for the ongoing ministry of The Berean Corner. We want to keep our intercessors informed of noteworthy happenings at this web site and prayer requests.
