I. Items for PRAISE

  1. For web server resources available at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA, and the webmaster Ernie Johanson, who puts material on this web page as he receives it by e-mail from Jim McClain, a professor at Citrus Community College, Glendora. Jim has a degree in computer science. I send him the material by e-mail after Ruth Fuller has edited it.
  2. For Christian friends in the Silicon Valley who first urged me to compose this page and who continue to give valuable advice on how to improve it.
  3. For bringing Jim McClain and me together about two years ago after reading my Unity of the Bible (Zondervan, 1992). Jim used his sabbatical in the fall of '95 to be coached both in Berean Bible study and in teaching the Bible inductively.
  4. For giving Ruth Fuller the ability to be a sharp editor who greatly improves on my writing.
  5. For God's remarkable providence in preparing me for this work during some forty years of teaching students at Fuller Seminary to be Bereans.
  6. For the Christians employed by hi-tech companies in the Silicon Valley who offer suggestions for the improvement of this page.
  7. That both Ruth and I are in good health, and that we have this ministry to carry on after retiring from teaching at Fuller Seminary in '93.

II. Items for SUPPLICATORY PRAYER

  1. Pray for Ruth and me, and others who will occasionally contribute, that we may have wisdom from God in knowing what to say and how we say it.
  2. Ask that this site might be a means for helping Christian workers in their task of expounding and applying the Bible.
  3. Ask that it also might minister directly in initiating and advancing people's confidence in Jesus' great love for them (Phil. 1:25).
  4. Ask for wisdom for Jim McClain in handling the technology needed for a high-quality, expanding web site.
  5. Pray for wisdom for Ernie Johanson, the seminary's webmaster, as he puts successive updates of these pages on line.
  6. Pray for Ruth and me as we reply to e-mail responses, that we may know how to answer each one (Col. 4:6).
  7. Pray for continued good health and strength for my team and me so we can keep improving expanding this site.
