Fuller Hosts Discussion on Undocumented Migration

Fuller's Hispanic Church Studies Program held a panel discussion about undocumented migration from Latin America to the United States and its missiological implications Thursday, March 27 in the seminary's Travis Auditorium.

The panelists included:

Ruth Padilla DeBorst, president of the Latin American Theological Fraternity. Ruth serves with Christian Reformed World Missions in El Salvador, on the Board of the International Justice Mission (www.ijm.org), and as director of Ediciones Certeza Unida, the publishing house of the Spanish speaking movements linked to IFES.


Tito Paredes, professor of Mission and Anthropology at the "Orlando E. Costas" graduate school of mission in Lima, and PRODOLA (Latin American Doctoral program in Theology). Both programs are part of the Universidad Evangélica de Las Americas (UNELA) of Costa Rica. He is currently visiting professor of Anthropology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.


Lindy Scott, professor of Latin American Studies and Spanish at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, and is the Regional Coordinator for the FTL (Latin American Theological Fellowship) in the United States and Canada. He is the editor of the FTL's "Journal of Latin American Theology: Christian Reflections from the Latino South".
