Gordon and Gail MacDonald to Lead a "Life Issues Conversation"

Too busy to be spiritual? Too many details squeezing your private world? Need an inner victory to be more effective publicly?

Noted pastor and author Gordon MacDonald and his wife Gail will speak and lead a discussion, "Life Issues Conversation: Inside Our Private World," on February 12, 2010, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., in Payton 101 on Fuller's Pasadena campus. The MacDonalds will talk about their lives and strategies for living, followed by a time for questions from the audience.

Gordon MacDonald has been a pastor and writer for more than 45 years and is well known for his book Ordering Your Private World. Other books he has authored include Who Stole My Church, Secrets of a Generous Life, The Life God Blesses, Renewing Your Spiritual Passion, When Men Think Private Thoughts, and Mid-Course Correction. He has served five congregations from the rural Midwest to New England to the heart of Manhattan, and most recently was interim president at Denver Seminary. Gordon also serves as editor-at-large with Leadership Journal and, until recently, he was chairman of the board of World Relief Corporation. He has a BA from the University of Colorado and an MDiv from Denver Seminary.

Gail MacDonald was educated at the University of Denver and has spent 48 years ministering alongside her husband. Whether alone or with Gordon, she speaks on issues involving spiritual disciplines, relationships, and leadership dynamics. Most of her speaking engagements are with those who are either preparing for or already are ministry wives, as well as women in lay leadership. Gail has traveled to nearly every continent with her husband to minister to Christian leaders and missionaries. Her most recent books are High Call, High Privilege, Keep Climbing (also released in German), and In His Everlasting Arms, a devotional based on material taken from Keep Climbing.

The MacDonalds' talk is sponsored by the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts; Office of Alumni/ae and Church Relations; and Doctor of Ministry/Continuing Education programs.
