Reinstatement Application Process

The Reinstatement option is for Fuller students who have successfully completed (with a passing grade) at least one Fuller Seminary course in the past, but it has been two years since the completion of the class(es).   If you have have not successfully completed at least one Fuller Seminary course, or did not pass the class you took, you may have to fully reapply.

If you have completed a class at Fuller, and it has been two years since you took the course, you are ready to apply as a Reinstatement student.  To start, please create a new online ID and password to start a new application by clicking here:  www.fuller.edu/apply

If you have already created an online ID and password with us, simply log in with that link above.  Your username will be the email address that you used to set up your account.  If you have forgotten your password, please click the link that says, "Forgot your Password?" 
 

Once you have created an online account, please choose the program you were in, or that you want to enter, and simply pick that application as if you have never filled out an application before.  We do not have a separate application for reinstatement students, so we will need you to fill out a new application with a couple of options in mind. 

1.  We will need a new application for admission, including updated work history, church history, and a new Religious Autobiography parts A and B.

2.  You don't need three references, you just need the one (1) pastoral reference.  However, you will need to fill out the two Professional/Academic references in order for your application to submit.  Please fill out the same name as your Pastoral Reference and check the box that indicates that you do not want to send an email to those two references.  This way your application will submit, but you will only send an email once to your Pastoral reference.  We will know, on our end, that you are reinstating and will only need one reference. 

3.  Since we will still have your transcripts on file, you do not need to send in your transcripts, however, you will still need to list at least one of your schools in the school search listing, as again, the program will not let you submit the application without something in that field.  Please always search for your school and choose from the automated selected options by typing in your school's name.  If you do not see your school listed, simply put in "Unknown School" and we will match it with your former application materials.   If you have done any other educational work since you have been here at Fuller, we will want to see those transcripts so please list the schools and then have your transcripts sent to our office. 

4.  As a reinstatement student, your application fee is waived.  When you have finished all other sections of the application (and have green check marks by each section), click on "Application Fee."    The choose the option that says "Request a Fee Waiver."  Simply ignore the first question, as you will not need an Administrative Code.  Then answer the second question about finishing a certificate.  Most likely, your answer will be "no."  That will open up Question #3 that will ask you if you are a Reinstatement Student.  Click "yes".  Then click the button that says "Request Fee Wavier."  At that point we will receive a notification of your waiver request.  We will approve your fee waiver on our end, which will then trigger an email to you confirming your waiver.  This could take several hours depending on the application system. 

5.  To finish and fully submit your application, log back into your  application account, and if you have finished all other aspects of the application (green check marks), there will be a new item called "Verification."  Click that link and that will have you verify your application materials and then the "Submit Application" button will appear.  Click that button and your application will be successfully submitted. 

From there, once we receive your needed reference, and any additional transcripts (if need be), it usually takes about 3-5 weeks to hear a decision on your reinstatement.
