Office of Career Services Adopts New Name

The Office of Career Services at Fuller has changed its name to the Office of Vocational Discernment and Career Services. The new name "better expresses the office's mission and the ways we currently serve both students and alumni/ae," says Allison Ash, interim director for the office.

Those services, says Ash, are captured in the office's mission statement: "To serve Fuller students and alumni/ae in the areas of discerning vocation, planning career, and searching for employment throughout their seminary education and into their ministries and careers."

In addition to retreats and workshops on vocational discernment, the office team will continue to include a Chaplain for Vocational Discernment who will be available for prayer and pastoral support regarding vocation and call. The office also offers career support for students and alumni/ae through one-on-one career counseling, an online employment search, Myers-Briggs Type Inventory® and the Strong Interest Inventory® assessments, resume training, interview coaching, and a resume-posting service.

The website for the Office of Vocational Discernment and Career Services will remain unchanged at www.fuller.edu/career, and will continue to offer resources for students, alumni/ae, and employers who wish to post employment opportunities for Fuller students and alumni/ae.
