Karen E. Parchman - Adjunct Professor, MC506: Leading a Missional Church

Karen currently serves as the North American network coordinator for a Latin American network of Missional churches and communities called La Red del Camino.  An MAGL graduate (2006) herself, Karen is currently pursuing her PhD in Intercultural Studies at Fuller and teaches at various Fuller regional campuses in both the Schools of Theology and Intercultural studies.

Karen's interests in shaping missional practices in local contexts comes from 15 years of work within local churches and among immigrant communities in the United States. Her intention to support churches as they worked to build mission-shaped capacities is what led her to the MAGL and to continuing her pursuits in her PhD, writing on the effects of missional change on communication among participants in the local church.

Karen currently hails from Texas, where she and her husband live with their dog, Gidget.
