In 1974 Fuller Seminary opened the Office of Presbyterian
Ministries (OPM) under the direction of Dr. Jack Rogers. At that time, when Presbyterians at
Fuller primarily belonged to the former United Presbyterian Church in the
USA, the purpose of the office was
twofold: to help Fuller students move through the ordination process, and to help presbyteries
understand what Fuller Seminary offered students. Within the last few years several changes
have broadened the initial scope of the office and those we serve.
- Fuller’s
community has become much more diverse, now including—among others—Hispanic, Native American, African American, and Korean students, faculty, staff, and trustees.
- Fuller
attracts individuals from the Presbyterian
Church (USA), Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, and the Evangelical
Presbyterian Church, as well as the Presbyterian Church of America.
- Fuller
alums are engaged in ministry in each of the Presbyterian churches.
The Office of Presbyterian Ministries
welcomes all Presbyterian students and alumni with the commitment to serve you well.
