Korean Language Browser Options
Here are two possible options one might use to display East Asian languages:
1) Alternative to Netscape/Explorer: acquire a special Web browser that is multilingual that you will use instead of Netscape/Explorer (Tango seems to have received the most press and praise, and supports other non-western scripts as well http://www.alis.com )
2) Software to enhance Netscape/Explorer: Download software that is used with the browser you already have.
The two products that seem to have the most widespread use in research institutions are: UnionWay's Asian Suite,
http://unionway.com, and Star+Globe's WinMASS 2000, http://www.starglobe.com.sg.
A low-end version of Asian Suite costs around $60. WinMASS costs about $200 per workstation, but it is the preferred software in Australian libraries and also the University of Washington, which have extensive Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cataloging.
The trial version of Asian Suite (the low-end Korean package) installs quickly and is very easy to use.
