MI521: Missiological Integration Seminar - Section II (2 units)

DESCRIPTION:
The Missiological Integration Seminars facilitate the integration of study at Fuller Theological Seminary with students' life and ministry callings. MI521 is the second of two seminars which facilitate students' reflections in terms of their FTS degree program and their next phase of life and ministry. The goal of the seminar is to bring closure to students' study programs and launch them into the next phase of their ministry and/or further studies.

COURSE FORMAT:
This is a one-week intensive. Class meets Friday, April 25–6-10pm, Saturday, April 26–9am-5pm, and Friday, May 2–6-10pm. The seminar consists of spiritual formation, reflection, small groups and assignments.

• Peterson, Eugene. The Contemplative Pastor. Grand Rapids: Eerdmans Publishing Company, 1989.
• Class Syllabus

ASSIGNMENTS:
• Interactive reading.
• Reflective exercises.
• A summary of the major "themes" from students' study programs (3-5 pages).
• A list of 5-10 "objectives" which demonstrates students' comprehensive mastery of their missiological specialization/concentration.
• A description of expected ministry.
Th.M. Students: extra 250 pages of reading and reflection on thesis process.

PREREQUISITES:
• Successful completion of MI520: Missiological Integration Seminar I.
• Successful completion of at least 84 units in a M.A. CCS or ICS program or 36 units in a Th.M. program.

RELATIONSHIP TO CURRICULUM:
Required of all M.A. CCS, M.A. ICS and Th.M. students enrolled in the School of World Mission.

FINAL EXAMINATION:
None.
