MO508: Confronting the Powers (4 units)
Charles H. Kraft, Sun-Hee Kwak Professor of Anthropology and Intercultural Communication
Summer 2003 Pasadena

DESCRIPTION:

Cosmic-level spiritual warfare has emerged during the 1990s as an important component of evangelical Christian understanding and ministry. This course explores both theoretical (including scriptural) and practical dimensions of this relatively new field. Topics to be treated include territorial spirits, spiritual mapping, and other focuses of this higher-level warfare and the place of intercessory prayer, repentance, and church unity in dealing with them. Case studies by John Robb, George Otis Jr. (video), Alistair Petrie, and perhaps others will enrich the course.
