Bio
Dustin Risser is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Risser is intrigued by the intersection of psychodynamic theory, creativity, and the work of the Holy Spirit. Risser completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fuller in 2020, and has authored Creativity, Theology, and Posttraumatic Growth: The Sacred Impulse of Play and Transformation out of Tragedy (2022).

Risser has authored Creativity, Theology, and Posttraumatic Growth: The Sacred Impulse of Play and Transformation out of Tragedy (2022), through Pickwick Publishing of Wipf and Stock. This work was developed from his dissertation, in which he examines the intersection between the construct of posttraumatic growth, the clinical application of the creative arts, and the work of the Holy Spirit, leaning on the theories of D.W. Winnicott, and the theology of Jürgen Moltmann.
