Bio
John J. Travis has spent most of his adult life working in Asia. As part of the Fuller School of Intercultural Studies, he teaches courses related to Islamic Studies and Spiritual Dynamics (i.e., healing prayer, signs and wonders in Intercultural engagement). Dr. Travis and his wife spend up to half of each year working in Asia. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Publications
Dr. Travis is co-editor of Understanding Insider Movements: Disciples of Jesus in Diverse Religious Communities (2015 William Carey Library). He has authored or co-authored eighteen articles and chapters in books on topics including inner healing prayer, Bible translation, contextualized ministry and insider movements. His most often referenced article is “The C1-C6 Spectrum”(EMQ 1998).
