Bio

Paul Boles is an affiliate professor of preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary where he primarily teaches on the practical application of historical preachers/preaching to the pulpit today. He is associate chair of the theology department at Azusa Pacific University, where he is associate professor of church history. He is also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Publications

Dr. Boles has recently published “Allegory as Embodiment: The Function of History in Origen’s Genesis Homily I” in the Journal of Theological Interpretation (Spring 2016) and “Method and Meaning in Chrysostom’s Homily 7 and Origen’s Homily 1 on Genesis” in Studia Patrsitica (2017).
