Bio
Born in West Virginia and raised in Nashville, Rob O’Lynn felt called to ministry at a young age. An ordained minister with the Churches of Christ, he has served congregations in Arkansas, Texas, West Virginia, and Kentucky, and currently serves as the senior minister for the Beech Street Church in Ashland, Kentucky. He is associate professor of preaching and ministry, director of Graduate Bible programs, and dean of the School of Distance and General Education at Kentucky Christian University. He has also served as a hospital chaplain in West Virginia and Kentucky.

Dr. O’Lynn has been published in the Christian Education Journal, Christian Standard, Christianity Today, Homiletic, International Journal of Homiletics, The Lookout, Preaching, Preaching Today, Restoration Quarterly, Stone-Campbell Journal, Teaching Theology and Religion, and the Wabash Center Journal on Teaching, as well on the Seminarium and WorkingPreacher websites. He has also contributed an essay on social media for Teaching Religion Using Technology (2018) and published a book on pastoral care entitled Practicing Presence (2015).
