Bio

Seung Woo Lee is an adjunct assistant professor of Christian ethics at Fuller Theological Seminary. His dissertation studied Calvinist jurist and political theorist Johannes Althusius’s symbiotic political theory and his philosophy of law to develop a Christian ethical conception of political corporate social responsibility (PCSR), in dialogue with Jürgen Habermas’s theory of deliberative democracy. Dr. Lee is a member of the Society of Christian Ethics and the American Academy of Religion.

Publications

Lee has contributed chapters titled “Wealth, Poverty, and Income Inequality” in Discerning Ethics: Diverse Christian Responses to Divisive Moral Issues (2020) and “Income Inequality” in the Micah Pastoral Formation Curriculum on Social Justice of the Ogilvie Institute at Fuller Theological Seminary. He is currently working on articles on the Christian origins of democracy, corporate political power and democracy, and global governance and global justice.
