HOW MANY UNITS ARE IN EACH PROGRAM?

  • PhD = 296 units
  • PsyD = 258 units

HOW MANY UNITS DO I TAKE EACH QUARTER?

Students are required to enroll full time for the first three years of the program. Full-time enrollment is a minimum of 12 units per quarter. Typically, however, students take 14-16 units per quarter.

HOW LONG IS A QUARTER?

Students attend classes 4 quarters per year. Each quarter runs 10 weeks, plus one week of finals.

HOW MANY HOURS DOES EACH CLASS SESSION REQUIRE?

Students enrolled in 10-12 units of courses and 10-12 hours of clinical training per quarter.

ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?

Several types of financial aid are available to graduates. The resources range from federal loans and state grants, to fellowships and merit scholarships. Need-based aid is awarded to the majority of students, with an average discount of 15% on tuition in the first three years of the clinical programs. Other resources are made available to students in years four and beyond.

HOW SOON CAN I FINISH THIS PROGRAM?

The PhD in Clinical Psychology program can be completed in 6 years.
The PsyD in Clinical Psychology program can be completed in 5 years.
