Transition Parenting: When yesterday’s strategies don’t work today, now what?
with Dr. Steven Argue

Young people find their most significant relationships and support from their families. Yet often, we find that the adults who love their teenagers and emerging adults feel at a loss to handle the fast-paced, ever-changing demands that complicate their relationships. The moment you feel like you have parenting or grandparenting figured out, new challenges and opportunities arise that require new strategies and resources! This webinar with Dr. Steven Argue, Associate Professor of Youth Family and Culture and Applied Research Strategist at the Fuller Youth Institute, will explore the in-motion lives most families experience and the pivotal transitions parents must make to grow with their growing children.

The Beginning of the End of COVID: Tensions of the New Normal

As COVID-19 restrictions continue to loosen, I find myself experiencing the tension between anxiety and hope, fear and excitement, loss and renewal. In this seminar, I invite you to join me as we explore these tensions in the contexts of family, work, and community. We will discuss practical strategies to cope and care for ourselves in these tensions as we transition to a post-COVID world.

Life After Fuller: Entering the Third-Third of Life
with Jude Tiersma-Watson

After 30 years on faculty at Fuller, this June I am stepping down and into a new season in my life. Two years ago, my husband and I left central Los Angeles and moved to Pomona, another huge transition, all of this taking place during a global pandemic. In this narrative presentation, I will reflect on how to navigate these liminal spaces. Might God have something for us during major life transitions?

Preparing to Cross Over
with Edwin J. Perez

Before you can proceed you must prepare! What did it look like for the Israelites to cross over the Red Sea while Egypt was towards their back? It’s by faith that we are able to live in-between the Red Sea and Egypt but how do we properly prepare for such a transition? By examining this biblical narrative, we learn that God prepares us to face our Red Sea moments head on.
