Alison Wong is an assistant professor of marriage and family therapy and a medical family therapist (MedFT). She has been at Fuller since 2014, first serving as research process administrator in the Travis Research Institute where she managed the Human Subjects Review Committees across the seminary.

Dr. Wong’s MedFT clinical work and research focus on psycho-oncology. She serves families coping with cancer from diagnosis to survivorship, as well as families coping with end of life issues and bereavement. Her research is specifically focused on how couples experience and cope with cancer. In addition to her MedFT work, she conducts clinical research focused on the therapy process and client outcomes.

Wong is a member of the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
