John Grosse House

Before Fuller Seminary purchased the house of Pasadena local John Grosse to house both Centro Latino and the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts, the building was used by the Pasadena Playhouse Association.

"When I was hired in 1989, the Registrar was in Grosse Hall. I was working in what had been a laundry room, and the pipe outlets were still visible in the wall. One day, a man in his mid-forties came into the office, and explained that his father had attended school at Fuller in the 1950s, and that the family had lived in Grosse Hall, and that he remembered the building as his childhood home. We gave him the tour of his old bedroom, and he explained where the kitchen was, and we had a lovely time reminiscing about how many of the offices on campus were private residences before they were student residence halls, before they were offices."
