Senior Advisor

Bill Clark joined the Fuller community in May 2015 as director of Donor Advised Funds at The Fuller Foundation. In November 2015, Bill was asked to step into a senior leadership role within the seminary to serve as the chief of strategy and staff. In this role, Bill supervised core administrative functions and partnered with leaders across the seminary to refine the vision, develop an educational business model for the future, and roll out a new organizational structure to increase collaboration.

In July 2017, Bill stepped into a new role as senior advisor to the leadership team at Fuller. In this role, Bill works with senior leaders across the seminary to set organizational priorities and to implement integrated strategic plans to advance Fuller's mission. In partnership with Human Resources, Bill works on organizational development opportunities to strengthen the institution. He also provides leadership for key external initiatives, including the establishment of a Fuller Network to increase partnerships with colleges, denominations, churches, ministries, and nonprofits.

Prior to joining Fuller, Bill worked in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He served as vice president and senior vice president at International Justice Mission, providing oversight for advancement, church mobilization, and constituent engagement. As lead for advancement, Bill recruited a world-class fundraising team, raising $195 million in donations in seven years. Prior to his work at International Justice Mission, Bill served as a senior manager at a software company, leading teams responsible for implementation, training, consulting, and customer support.

Bill was led to faith through the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and after earning his bachelor’s degree in political science from UC Irvine, served as a team leader with InterVarsity. He has been married to his wife, Joy, for 21 years, and they have two daughters.
